Lake Picnic Area
(weekend reservations now required for 'Lake Area' picknicking)
With a beautiful view, Playland's Lake Picnic Area overlooks Playland Lake, and provides easy access to boating activities and an entrance to the amusement park. Picnicking facilities are available, on a first-come first-serve basis, weekdays and holidays free of charge.
Reservations are now required for the picnicking facilities on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). A $100 permit fee will be required at time of reservation. For more information, or to make a reservation, please call Group Sales at 914-813-7016, Monday through Friday, between 9am-4pm. Playland does offer catering services. Picnic Area -- New!

Located on the park's back boardwalk, Playland's new Covered Picnic Area
overlooks the back beach area and accommodates up to 120 of your guests for
a day of fun. Reservations are required Tuesday through Sunday for
this facility, and a $250 permit fee will be required at time of reservation.
Requires admission purchase for each person in the group. For

914-813-7016, Monday through Friday, between 9am-4pm.
Barbecue grills are installed in Playland's picnicking areas. Barbecuing is allowed only in these stationary grills provided by Playland. Playland Park reserves the right to suspend the use of these barbecue grills at any time for reason of drought, safety or at times when the area is overcrowded. The public may not bring their own barbecue grills or propane grills. Other rules apply.
Please note:
Swimming is prohibited at Playland Lake and back beach
areas.
No coolers allowed in park except in catered and rental areas.
Payment for all picnic areas is non-refundable. If the Park is closed due to inclement weather, then another date may be chosen by the group if available, or a full refund will be given.
